This is the hydrant generally looked after by Community Fire Units (CFU). Since this hydrant was monitored by CFU, I used to get a call from CFU team leader three-four times a year about the hydrant covered with ants.
Since Retroguard boot was installed on this hydrant in 2010 as a trial, I received the appreciation call from CFU and never had a problem with ants. – SAGAR
